FAQ

Do you do commissions?

Yes! I love it when customers come to me with specific requests. Whether it is for presents or for their own home, I love being part of your journey.

Can you personalise a painting and how is this different from a commission?

If for example you decide to buy a painting from my shop that is pre-painted, I can add a personalisation to the mount. For me often a poem, phrase or word is where I start as a source of inspiration for me when I paint. Often words may leap out of customers who see a painting. If that is the case then I can write this on the mount. This I like to think, adds another special layer to your artwork.

How long will it take to be dispatched?

This depends on whether you are buying a pre-painted piece available on my website already or if it is a commission.

Pre- painted pieces are posted within 3 working days.

Commissions take slightly longer at approximately two weeks depending on how busy I am.

Postage

All paintings are posted with Royal Mail if they are being sent to the UK, 1st tracked and signed for.

For International postage, this will depend on the size of the piece and where it will be going to. I have used DPD, DHL and ParcelForce in the past.

Returns

Due to the items being original paintings, unfortunately unless your painting for whatever reason arrives damaged or missing I cannot offer any refunds.

In the event that your piece does sadly arrive damaged or goes missing, please contact me and we can discuss a refund or a repainting of the piece.

Caring for my painting

Like many other types of paintings, alcohol ink can fade over the years if it is left in direct sunlight. To combat this I seal the paintings both with special spray, as well as UV- Protectant to stop this. If you are custom framing a piece of large art, you may want to consider a UV-protectant glass for extra protectant.

With these precautions you will have many, many years enjoying you artwork. Plus, your paintings love catching a glimmer of sunlight to really make them dance, so don't deprive them completely!
